Bacon Caramel Brittle: Pretty Much The Most Addicting Thing On The Planet

Here's everything you need for this downright addictive bacon caramel brittle. You'll need just 10 minutes of prep time and 15 minutes of cooking time.

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 sleeve Saltine crackers
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1¼ cup butter
  • 1¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup

Directions To Follow:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and then lining a baking sheet with foil and spraying it with cooking spray. Use the Saltine crackers to line the bottom of the baking sheet — you'll probably need 48 if you're using a 9×13 pan. Next, cook the bacon on the stove top just until browned, but don't completely cook it. Remove the fat from the bacon by laying the bacon on a paper towel. Mix the butter and brown sugar together in a sauce pan, melting it over medium heat until it becomes a caramel. After that, stir it continuously for between 2 and 3 minutes. Pour the caramel over the Saltines so that the crackers are completely coated with the caramel. Cut up the bacon and place it on top of the caramel and then pour the maple syrup over all of this. Finally, bake for 5 minutes and let cool before serving.
