Beating Egg Whites: Do Yolk & Grease Really Ruin The Outcome

When cooking or baking you always want everything to come out perfect. You want the dough to be just right, the filling and most importantly the whipped topping.

Making whipped topping from scratch is so much simpler than most people think. It's only a few ingredients, a mixer and about 5 minutes of your time and you have the freshest, tastiest whipped topping around. The perfect whipped topping is the final touches on a dessert masterpiece yet according to some it is easy to mess up and the absolute worst thing you can do is to get an egg yolk or grease into the mixing bowl.

So we had to wonder, does it really ruin the outcome? We did our research and we have found the answer. Culinary Director Daniel Gritzer put it all to the test and has done the dirty work for us. Let's see what his test revealed.
