Candy Corn Krispie Cake Will Make Any Halloween Party Festive

This Halloween treat is one that is so simple you can tweak it no matter what holiday or time of year it is. Not only did I have it at a party this past weekend but I am going to be making it for one of my children's fall festivals at their school.  Here is what you will need to gather.

Ingredients:

For the white layer:

  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • ½ cup marshmallow fluff
  • ½ cup candy corn

For the orange layer:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • Orange food coloring
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • ½ cup candy corn

For the yellow layer:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • Yellow food coloring
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • ½ cup white candy melts
  • ½ cup orange candy melts
  • ½ cup yellow candy melts
Directions:
  • Prepare a bundt pan with nonstick spray.
  • To make the white layer, in a medium pot on low heat, stir together butter with mini marshmallows until melted. Remove from heat, then pour marshmallow mixture over Rice Krispies cereal, and add marshmallow fluff before stirring well to coat cereal.
  • Press cereal mixture into the bottom of the prepared bundt pan, then sprinkle candy corn evenly on top.
  • To make the orange layer, in a clean medium pot on low heat, stir together butter with mini marshmallows until melted, then stir in orange food coloring until the desired shade is reached. Remove from heat, then pour marshmallow mixture over Rice Krispies cereal, stirring well to coat cereal.
  • Press orange cereal mixture firmly on top of the white layer, then top with the remaining candy corn.
  • To make the yellow layer, in a clean medium pot on low heat, stir together butter with mini marshmallows until melted, then stir in yellow food coloring until the desired shade is reached. Remove from heat, then pour marshmallow mixture over Rice Krispies cereal, stirring well to coat cereal.
  • Press yellow cereal mixture firmly on top of the orange layer, then allow the pan to set about 15 minutes to cool and solidify.
  • Flip the pan onto a plate to pop the “cake” out. Set aside.
  • In three microwave-safe bowls, melt the candy melts on 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Drizzle the cake with candy melts, and allow to set before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
