Chai Tea Oatmeal May Be The Best Thing To Eat This Fall

Chai Tea Oatmeal May Be The Best Thing To Eat This Fall

First, you will want to do is throw out any idea or notion that it must be cold outside to enjoy oatmeal. I never understood this thought process or why anyone would limit delicious food to just one season if they can have it all year long.

Next, you will want to read through the instructions. They are super simple, as you can imagine, and once you make this dish a few times you will likely have it memorized.

Directions
  • In a medium saucepan, add the almond milk and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the tea bags, remove from heat, cover and allow to steep for 5-7 minutes until the milk is infused.
  • Remove the tea bags and discard.
  • Return the milk to a boil, add the oats and reduce to a simmer.
  • Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Stir until combined. Simmer until the oatmeal has just thickened to the desired consistency. Garnish with coconut chips and blueberries.
  • Tip: Use your favorite teas to infused the milk when making oatmeal!

I always like to top it off with a very light dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg. I have seen others use shavings so it really is all in what kind of presentation you are looking for. Either way, this is sure to be a dish that will hold you over until lunch and give you that wonderful fall taste you are looking for.
