Check Out The Secret Ingredient That You Should Have Been Adding To Your Pasta Sauce All These Years

Ever wondered just how easy it is to make your Italian pasta sauce that you love so much from scratch? Well this recipe has just the answers you're looking for. You will fall in love with this recipe!

Let's Get Started…

Things You Will Need:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 (28 ounce) cans tomato sauce

  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes

  • 3/4 cup Merlot wine

  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

  • 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules

  • 3 tablespoons dried basil leaves

  • 3 tablespoons Italian seasoning

How To Prepare:

  1. Start off by sweating your onion in garlic in hot oil. This process should take about seven minutes.

  2. Next, you'll want to throw the rest of your ingredients all into the pot and let simmer for about an hour. Don't forget to stir frequently so nothing sticks to the bottom of the pot and burns.

Finished!

Note: This sauce isn't just for pasta. Use it on meatball subs, dunk mozzarella cheese sticks in it, and pretty much anything else you can think of. This sauce is super versatile.

Happy Cooking & Enjoy!

I made this sauce the other day..couldn’t find the chicken granulated so used powdered. Added the merlot, but you have to cooked it til it’s reduced, and reduced again or its some nasty smelling, tasting stuff.

My mother was full blooded Italian. I make great sauce bit through the years I’ve taken some short cuts (when I need a little more sauce) and you’d never know! Made a big ole pot last night!! Always homemade meatballs – hot and mild Italian sausage – delicious!

More wasted time. No secret ingredient that I could find. I use all of those ingredients. Only diff is that I sometimes substitute another red wine for merlot as I don’t really care for merlot.
