Copycat Recipe: Starbucks Glazed Pumpkin Scone

Copycat Recipe: Starbucks Glazed Pumpkin Scone

It's Fall Y'all and you know what that means! Starbucks breaks out all things pumpkin!

There are a few things I adore about Starbucks and it goes well beyond the coffee or frozen drinks. Their pastry selection is always amazing, it's a great place to write an article or get some work done and I have met some of my best friends while working at a Starbucks. Granted that was over 10 years ago and I'm a little biased but hey…their pastries are delicious!

One of my favorites around this time of year happens to be the Pumpkin Scone. I adore scones to begin with, but this one with its sweet pumpkin flavors and delicious glaze really take the cake! I always pair scones with a basic cup of coffee because the coffee has a way of cutting through the sweetness and really bringing those flavors to the forefront!

So let's take a look at how to create these wonderful treats right in the comfort of your own home. First, you will need to gather up all your ingredients!

Ingredients:

INGREDIENTS:

Scones Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
9 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
6 Tablespoons cold butter
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
3 Tablespoons half-and-half
1 large egg

Sugar Glaze Ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons whole milk

Spiced Glaze Ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons whole milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Just an FYI you will want to make both glazes. This way you get the sweet and spice all in one final product! So now let's look at what we are to do with all this stuff.
