I adore breakfast food. Waffles in particular and when I found out that this recipe combined waffles as well as donuts! Needless to say, I was hooked.
The thing that makes this dish stand out is the glaze. The perfect sweetness that tops off the delicious breakfast dish is the crowning achievement. Some choose to have the waffle sans the glaze although I would never do such a thing. Sure the waffle has the crispy outside and doughy inside that makes it wonderful on its own but the glaze is just so good there is no reason to go without it.
