Forget About Those Frozen Hockey Pucks; This Is How A Hamburger Is Supposed To Be Season & Grilled

This burger recipe makes enough for four servings but you can always double the ingredients if you want more. It takes ten minutes to prepare and ten minutes to cook. You'll be enjoying this amazing burger in no time at all!

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • Kosher salt and  black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 4 slices cheese (optional)
  • 4 hamburger buns, split; toasted

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Divide  meat into 4 equal portions  Form each  into  3/4-inch burger,  make deep depression in  center with your thumb.
  2. GRILL: Heat a gas grill to high or heat coals in a charcoal grill.  Brush  burgers with oil. Grill, 3 minutes on first side. Flip.
  3. GRILL PAN: Heat  grill pan over high heat on top of  stove. Cook burgers as for a grill
    SAUTE PAN: Heat  oil in  pan over high heat until oil begins to shimmer. Cook on  first side,  3 minutes.  Flip.  Cook  4 minutes.
  4. Add  cheese during the last minute, top with  basting cover, close  grill to melt cheese.
