Jazz Up Plain Old Fruit Salad With Honey and Lime

Jazz Up Plain Old Fruit Salad With Honey and Lime

This Fruit Salad is Perfect for Lunch or a Snack

When we're craving something cool, light and refreshing, one of the first things we think of is a nice fruit salad. It will certainly cool you off on a hot summer day, although we also like it during colder months because it gives us a little taste of spring and summer. It's also great for when you're craving something slightly sweet but not quite as decadent as a traditional dessert. This version is one of our favorites because it uses lime juice and honey to complement the fruity flavors. Plus, while lime and honey don't seem like they'd go together, their contrasting flavors are actually amazing when combined.

Another cool thing about this salad is that you can mix and match the fruit any way you like to come up with a combination that suits your tastes. Use just two or three kinds of fruit, or use 1 cup each of six different fruits for a true taste explosion! You can use pretty much any kind of fruit you want, and we've used strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, grapes, kiwi, blackberries, raspberries, and mango. Yum! We recommend experimenting until you get it just right, or even trying it a different way each time just to add some variety.
