Salisbury Steak the Lazy Man’s Way

Salisbury Steak the Lazy Man’s Way

The brands of crackers we recommend are Club and Town House. However, you can use any kind that you like. For the onion, we recommend a white onion. You can also use a Chicken Bouillon cube if you prefer however, the Beef is best.

Let's Get Started…

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons crushed buttery round cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 2 (4 ounce) cans sliced mushrooms with juice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 cubes beef bouillon

Now That You Have All Of Your Simple Ingredients Together It's Time To Make That Mushroom Sauce That Goes Over This Juicy Piece Of Salisbury Steak & The Glaze That It's Brushed With Afterwards.

You are going to love the mushroom sauce this steak has poured over because it's almost like gravy. Also, the Salisbury Steak is glazed with another sauce before it's put in the oven to bake.

Shockingly, Salisbury Steak is really simple to make and does not require a ton of instructions. This recipe is going to turn out super hearty and full of flavor. We really think it's all about the mushrooms and onions but we know the gravy had a lot to do with it.

Forming the Salisbury Steak is not as hard as you would originally think. All you have to do is dice everything really small and then form it (think of a meatloaf) however the two have a lot of differences.
