We've Checked Our Fridge…Have You?
It seems there's another food recall every few weeks, to the point where sometimes we have trouble keeping up! It's important to be aware, however, because you never know when your kitchen might be harboring something potentially dangerous. This time, it's hot dogs being recalled, after some customers reported finding small scraps of metal in the product. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, but the manufacturer, Cincinnati-based John Morrell and Co., is voluntarily recalling over 210,000 pounds of its hot dogs.
The company asks anyone who bought the product to discard it or request a refund, although it doesn't expect many of the products to be affected. Fortunately, it was apparently easy to narrow down specific brands and batches accepted, making the impact much lower than it could have been otherwise. We just hope everyone hears about the recall and tosses these products before the situation can get any worse.
To learn which brands are included in the recall, please continue to Page (2) for the full details.

Well I put ketchup on my hot dogs, along with mustard and relish. Always have and always will. None of my friends think I’m uncivilized.
