Every year around the holidays, close to Thanksgiving and Christmas, we like to bake something new and different. This year we’ve decided to try Strufoli!
Essentially, Strufoli is a sweet dish made of deep fried balls of dough. They are about the size of marbles, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.
Strufoli are mixed with honey, sugar and other tasty ingredients. There are many different ways to prepare them, to make them pretty, but the traditional way is to mix them in honey, cinnamon, and bits of shredded or grated orange peel.
