These Carolina Hot Wings Are Perfect for Outdoor Grilling Season

Here's everything you need for these hot and spicy Carolina hot wings. We like them with cole slaw, corn on the cob or potato salad on the side.

Ingredients to Gather

20 chicken wings
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne powder
1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Tabasco (optional)

Directions to Follow

In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients together until well-combined.
Place half the mixed sauce ingredients in a large freezer bag along with the chicken wings, then marinate in the refrigerator for 1-3 hours.

Then, preheat the grill on medium heat and place the wings on the grill, and after that baste with the rest of the sauce while cooking until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit, usually about 30 minutes. When they're done, remove from heat and serve promptly.
