Trader Joe’s Is Recalling Some of Its Breakfast Sausage…Find Out The Surprising Reason Why!

There have been a lot of scary food recalls lately, with major food manufacturers recalling pretty much every type of food there is, from vegetables to meat. There's also been a wide array of reasons, from bacteria to foreign objects. Yikes!

This latest recall will probably only affect a small percentage of people, but the store, Trader Joe's, is recalling the products anyway. The items in question are breakfast sausages sold in August. It turns out, there were improperly labeled and don't have a warning that they contain soy lecithin, which could be an issue for people with severe soy allergies.

The USDA has classified this as a Class II, or middle tier, recall, which means there's just a small chance of serious adverse consequences. Still, Trader Joe's will issue a refund for the product if you return it to the store.

To learn more about the recall and what you should do if you have any of the affected products, please continue to Page (2) for the full story.
