We're Always Looking for Opportunities to Use Our Cast Iron Skillet!
We just love skillet recipes. All you do is toss everything into a single skillet and then cook until done. Perfect! No stack of dirty dishes to clean up after dinner, and just the one skillet to watch, instead of monitoring several different things simultaneously. Plus, this method is ideal both for main courses and sides, and there are several skillet dishes you can make that are meals all by themselves. And, using a cast iron skillet, in particular, has more benefits than we can mention, so we're always looking for cast iron skillet-friendly recipes. However, we also like grilling, and as the weather heats up we spend more and more time using our grill. Plus, in the hot weather, we don't always feel like heating up the house by using the stove.
Fortunately, it's pretty easy to adapt your favorite skillet dishes to cooking on the grill, giving you the best of both worlds. All you have to do is preheat the grill, and you may want to invest in a thermometer so you'll know how hot the pan is. Other than that, adapting skillet recipes to the grill really doesn't require anything special. We really like making these dishes on the grill, because it adds a little something special and gives us the opportunity to spend some time outdoors instead of in a hot, stuffy kitchen!
