5 Better Ways To Use Butter

Better Ways to Butter
1. Use a box grater to break up frozen butter in no time for baked goods.

I know that this sounds crazy but it really does work. Grated butter softens quickly and incorporates very well into dishes.

2. Soften butter quickly sans microwave by using a rolling pin.

I love this trick because I love using a rolling pin! But seriously isn't it frustrating when a recipe calls for room temperature butter! Who has time to let the butter soften and putting it in the microwave may overcook it so this tip is truly perfect!

3. Melt butter evenly with a warm cup.

This one is great! All you do is cut up the butter into pieces, set them on a plate. Warm a cup in the microwave, turn it upside down over the butter and let the heat do the trick.
4. Kill two birds with one stone by softening butter in a preheating oven.

If your baking recipe asks for melted butter—and also instruct you to grease your dish? Do both at once while you're preheating the oven. Place butter on your dish and preheat the oven!

5. Overzealous with the melting? Bring it back to a solid state with an ice bath.
