
French Toast
There is nothing better than waking up on a lazy Sunday morning to the aroma of breakfast in the air. Oh wait, your the one who makes breakfast every single morning! This recipe is so simple the kids could make it, and after they taste the sugary deliciousness they will be begging to make you breakfast in bed! Take a few minutes the night before and you will be praising the heavens in the morning when the tantalizing aroma wakes you!
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf French Bread cubed
- 7 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Directions:
- Cut or tear the bread into cubes
- Spray crockpot with cooking spray
- Place half of the cubed bread in the crockpot
- Mix together the butter, brown sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl
- Pour half of the brown sugar mixture over the cubed bread in the crockpot
- Mix together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl using a mixer
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cubed bread
- Pour the remaining bread cubes into the crock pot
- Mix together the eggs, milk and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl
- Pour egg mixture over everything in the crockpot
- Pour the rest of the brown sugar mixture on top of everything in the crockpot
- Cook on low for 6 hours
