Here's everything you need for these indulgent biscuits and gravy. You don't need a whole lot of bacon drippings; just enough to cover the bottom of the skillet.
Let's Get Started…
Ingredients To Gather:
- Reserve some bacon drippings (I use Wright's Pepper Bacon)
- 6 tablespoons Flour
- 3 cups Sweet Milk
- 8 oz Sausage (I use Jimmy Dean)
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions To Follow:
- Start by sprinkling flour into the skillet over the hot bacon drippings and then stir to mix well.
- Add the salt, pepper and milk, stirring continuously until it thickens and then remove from the heat and set aside.
- Next, take another skillet and fry the sausage until it's brown.
- When it's done, drain it on a paper towel.
- Add the sausage to the gravy, warm and pour over biscuits.
Finished!
That certainly sounds like one hearty breakfast, but it's so good we like to have it as a snack as well. In fact, this decadent creation is good any time of the day.
Happy Baking & Enjoy!
