I disagree with the Chef’s knife cost. There is no reason for the majority of people spending over $100 on a knife, they won’t take care of it and will be as worthless as the $30 knife in a few months of use in the average kitchen. One of the most neglected tools in the kitchen and is used most often.
Recommendation: Spend $50-$60 on a knife and then purchase a good book on the “how to use and care for a knife”
