This New Starbucks Is A Game Changer!
Workers who have a disability or impairment can sometimes find it difficult to find a job. Now international coffee shop chain Starbucks is addressing the issue by opening a new location designed specifically for people who are deaf — both employees and customers!
Starbucks Malaysia partnered with Society of Interpreters for the Deaf, an advocacy organization, to open the new location in Kuala Lumpur. The store not only hired several deaf employees, it's also designed to make it easier for deaf customers to place their orders.
That doesn't mean customers who aren't deaf are excluded, however. In fact, they're welcomed at the store and there are special procedures for them to follow to make ordering easy for them as well.
