The Reviews Aren't Exactly Glowing…But They're Not All Bad Either
Chorizo is not for the faint of heart. This sausage-like creation combines multiple types of meat and is heavily seasoned with savory and spicy seasonings that give this treat a real bite!
Now Mexican restaurant chain Chipotle is offering up their own version that's available on its tacos, burritos and burrito bowls.
Chipotle's chorizo is made from chicken and pork sausage, which is then seasoned with paprika, cumin and chipotle. Wow! That definitely sounds rich and hearty, as well as a little hot and spicy!
Unfortunately it's only available in a few select cities right now, so many of us will have to wait a little longer to indulge in one of our favorite delicacies. However, we are living vicariously through the food writers who have had the luck to try the chorizo items for themselves and then share their opinions with the rest of us. While the initial reviews are somewhat mixed, we're still intrigued by the idea.
