Pasta sauce may seem like a really simple recipe and one that would be nearly impossible to screw up, right? After all, it basically just requires some tomato sauce and a few savory spices and seasonings, and then just simmer until it's thick, rich and creamy, right? Well, it turns out it's a little more complex than that. In fact, while it's fairly easy to make a basic pasta sauce recipe, it's a lot more complicated to make a truly outstanding one that really enhances the flavor and texture of the pasta dish.
