I do not know many people who did not grow up with Sesame Street. If you did then chances are your children grew up watching the show and you right along with them. That show is a staple in western culture and a part of millions of childhood memories.
I loved watching it. I remember wanting to live on the same street as Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and the whole gang. I was highly disappointed when I found out I couldn't. Then when I had children we went through the same process. They grew up watching it, I had to explain to them that we, in fact, could not visit Cookie Monster and they too were highly disappointed. - 10 Oreos, crushed very finely
