A Sad, Yet True Story, With A Happy Ending!
There has been a lot of hub-bub surrounding school lunches and how they feed our kids. If you have some young ones in school and are facing a financial burden then you know how tough it can be to afford those school lunches; they add up really quick.
However, most schools will not take immediate actions to feed our kids if they go without lunch. Our children will go hungry at lunchtime and will have to wait till evening to work; it's a horrible thing to think about, especially if you can put yourself in that situation.
However, this case in particular, will make your blood boil. There was a boy, who didn't qualify for the school lunch program, had no friends and was eating only a small fruit cup at lunch. When you find out what one mom did to help this kid, with the assistance of her over-eager son, it will bring tears to your eyes.
This story is sad, heartbreaking and all too common but the ending is fantastic and really shows what one strangers kindness and childhood friendships are all about.
