You might have made this dish before by a little improvising, but the results are just so good you keep on making it! I literally have my family requesting this for dinner. It's quite a hit!
Things You Will Need:
1/2 onion sliced
1 can diced green chilis
1.5 lb frozen, sliced, seasoned chicken breast
1/4 cup cream cheese
1 cup milk
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup green salsa
1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
8 flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey jack
How To Prepare:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Start off by cooking your onions and green chiles together, then add the chicken. Once your poultry is cooked thoroughly, you can add the milk, chicken broth, green salsa, cream cheese and Monterey Jack. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce has thickened.
- In a greased casserole dish, start to layer, beginning with the tortillas, then chicken mix, tortillas again, more chicken mix, then cheese.
- Place your casserole dish in the oven for about thirty minutes, until nice and bubbly.
Note: You can serve in squares and top with sour cream, black olives, cilantro, avocado, and hot sauce. Enjoy!
