Are You Looking For A Quick & Hearty Pasta Dish? This Chicken & Penne Pasta Is A Workaholics Best Friend!

This chicken and penne pasta recipe makes enough for about eight servings but you can double or triple the ingredients if you want to have some left over to enjoy again later. This takes about ninety minutes to cook but the smells alone will make you dying to try that very first bite!

The Ingredients To Gather: 

  • 8 Chicken Thighs
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1   Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 jars  Marinara Sauce
  • Fresh Basil, To Taste
  • Parmesan Cheese, For Sprinkling
  • 16 ounces Penne Or Rigatoni

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Sprinkle chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown chicken thighs quickly on both sides until golden brown, 2 minutes per side. Remove to a separate plate.
  3. Pour off all but 1 tablespoon grease.
  4. Add onions and garlic to pan and stir around to cook,  2 to 3 minutes. Pour in marinara sauce and stir to heat. Add chicken thighs back into  sauce. Cover and place pan in the oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
