The Mexican Restaurant Chain May Just Be Taking Over!
At one point, Chipotle Mexican Grill was everyone's favorite place for delicious and quick Mexican-inspired meal, with the restaurant chain's amazing burritos taking center stage. However, the fall from the top is often swift and steep, which is just what happened when the restaurant chain experienced an e. Coli outbreak and a norovirus outbreak last fall.
These health scares turned many people off to the restaurant's offerings, and the company has been struggling to regain its reputation and customer base ever since, even offering free burritos and enhancing its marketing efforts.
However, its sales were still down 24 percent at the second quarter of this year. Which may be one reason why the company is looking to branch out into a new market: burger joint! The company recently announced plans to launch a burger franchise called Tasty Made, with plans to open the first one this fall in Lancaster, Ohio.
