Bring Back A Home Cooked Classic & Try Out This Slow Cooked Pot Roast Recipe For Dinner!

This Delicious Pot Roast Is So Good… It Makes It's Own Gravy! You've Never Had A Crock Pot Recipe Like This Before ~ Here's Why ~

Just the thought of this pot roast on a bed of mash potatoes with a side of cooked carrots or peas or broccoli … Mmm!

If we’ve said it once we’ve said it a thousand times, anything that goes into a crockpot always comes out tasting incredibly good.

A chicken or roast always comes out tender, nearly falls off of the bone and the meat and veggies are all infused with a beefy or chicken essence … It’s all so mouth-watering.

The only difference is that it is sooo easy you will be tempted to cook it over and over again; at the very least once a week!

The family will love you for it because it’s unbelievably delicious!

I am sure it is yummy but I’ll bet the sodium level (from the mushroom soup and the onion soup mix) must be sky high.

My home cooked food did not come from a crock-pot nor did it have cream of…..soup or package onion soup.

It didn’t taste salty. Usually cook it this way all the time. But yes there is a lot of salt in these ingredients.

Cook it this way all the time! Delicious. But I put mine in the oven. The meat gets too soft and stringy when in a slow cooker.

I am on Blood Pressure Meds so it doesn’t matter if I taste it; the sodium is there. I am sure that it does taste great though.

Same here, of course salt makes food taste good and that’s why i have to be careful if eating out, Restaurant foods are loaded with sodium.

I use to make my pot roast in the oven until I tried it in a crock pot. That’s the only way I make it now.

Campbells has a 25% less sodium cream of mushroom, that would eliminate some of the sodium.

Four things wrong here – slow cooker, canned soup, DRY SOUP MIX (are we kidding?) and no detail on what cut of meat to use “pot roast” is not a cut! Drag out your real cookbooks and find a real recipe.

Mary: You sound uppity and rude. This is great to come home to after a busy day. I’ve been making this recipe for 40+ years. The only thing I do differently is I use beer instead of water. This is to die for good. If you don’t like a recipe, why don’t you just move on without commenting. I use my crockpot to make mac and cheese, enchiladas, lasagna, etc. Great for a busy working mom.

Mary, just in case you ever want to make a pot roast, it generally is a chuck roast! Are you a new cook?

I never use a crock pot for roast. I use my cast iron skillet. The meat looks like a sirloin roast. Meat use to taste so good but they make all of it boneless today. Had to get bone n.

Toni Bresnahan , try a cast iron skillet in the oven low temp. You’ll like it even better. I thnk a lot of people use crock pots because of the clean up, which is okay. I do Chili and Beans and Ham in a slow cooker.
