This Delicious Pot Roast Is So Good… It Makes It's Own Gravy! You've Never Had A Crock Pot Recipe Like This Before ~ Here's Why ~
Just the thought of this pot roast on a bed of mash potatoes with a side of cooked carrots or peas or broccoli … Mmm!
If we’ve said it once we’ve said it a thousand times, anything that goes into a crockpot always comes out tasting incredibly good.
A chicken or roast always comes out tender, nearly falls off of the bone and the meat and veggies are all infused with a beefy or chicken essence … It’s all so mouth-watering.
The only difference is that it is sooo easy you will be tempted to cook it over and over again; at the very least once a week!
The family will love you for it because it’s unbelievably delicious!

Looks yummy
No thanks. I make onion soup a day before then use that as the base to cook a pot roast in, adding Bloody Mary mix if needed. Bake for two hours then add unpeeled Yukon gold potatoes, baby carrots and parsnips and bake another hour.
Recipe on All Recipes.com Awesome slow Cooker Pot Roast!
i have tried making pot roasts for years, But I never seem to get the rolling papers just right.
why do we have to go through 3 pages to get all recipe for it ?? :/ does any one have this recipe for print??
Thank you. I’m doing yours!!
I think you will like it. Works for me every time.
I know how to prepare a great roast. My problem, the beef tastes like saw dust. Was raised on a farm where beef and pork were real.
Roasts have gotten so expensive… You notice?
Heck, i use to packets of lipton beefy onion soup no water no mushroom soup , add i bag baby carrots one fresh chopped onion, cook eight hours start on high about 4 hours low medium the rest of the time, any cut of beef roast, remove roast to platter with carrots to rest and use juices to make gravy 🙂 perfect everytime
Yummy
What can i sub for cream of mushroom?
No cream of mushroom soup. Uggh! I use fresh mushrooms.
Mary Caputo your arrogance is showing. To each his own.
Great

Shelby Leigh Vinson you should make this for Papa
Anthony Herrera Jr.
does look good.
I really don’t cook vegetables with it. I suppose you could. I usually just make gravy out of the juice and serve over mashed potatoes. It is good!
Today’s prices for a good size roast is ridiculous. Need a bank loan to purchase
One of my favorate meals.
This is possibly the worst site to find a recipe. 🙁
Too many pages not worth it
Make this. All. The. Time
Stop with the pre made soups and such, sodium will kill us all. Learn to make your own. You can still use canned low so broth, but sauté your own veggies add flour and herbs, whisk in some milk. Sooooooo much better!!!
Looks really good
You really can’t cook without that canned cream soup! Too much of a challenge??
My Mother in law gave me this recipe over 40 years ago. no stewed tomatoes though and I always use chuck roast’

Had it for dinner the other night
I make this quite a bit in winter I. Just love it and what a great smell in the house ,but I make it the old fashion way which I think is better then the new way,I still say the old way is the best way to cook,
This sounds pretty good!
Why so hostile about a recipe Mary?
I’ve used this recipe for years. My mother-in-law taught me it and I used it in the oven before the invention of the slow cooker. Great taste!
Rude.
Good beef, seasoning, flour, oil and seer right before burn. Onions, celery, carrots, water into oven, last 30 minutes add quartered potatoes. Remove roast, reduce liquid in pan on range top, make a slurry out of cornstarch and cold water, add to reduce pan juices, medium heat and simmer till bubbly. You can keep your soups
If you want to make a GLUTEN FREE VERSION OF THIS–use a gluten free mushroom soup like progresso or Pacific–and instead of the dry onion soup mix add one sliced onion and 3 -4 little envelopes of salt free powdered beef bouillon ( I use Herb Ox)–a half cup or so of dry red wine and lots of ground pepper is good to add too!
Looks so good…
Chantel this is for you
