Ingredients To Gather:
- 3 1/2 pounds Certified Angus Beef ® English roast
- 1 tablespoon coarse kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
- 1 sprig rosemary
Directions To Follow:
- Set oven temperature to 325. After seasoning the roast, sear it until it becomes brown on every side. Set aside.
- On a medium heat, boil the onion and garlic together until soft. Add flour, tomato paste, broth, water, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Then place the rested roast back in the pot and cover the pot with a lid.
- Let it cook for 120 minutes. Roll the roast over to the other side and put rosemary into the pot. Cook for another 60 minutes.
- Take the roast out of the pot and skim the fat with a ladle.
- Slice the roast and serve with sauce.
Finished!
