It Will Be The Best Thing You'll Make All Week… We Promise.
Although we may have some coleslaw at a summer barbecue or serve cabbage soup on the occasional snowy evening, vitamin-packed cabbage rarely gets the attention it deserves.
This cheesy casserole recipe sneaks cabbage into a flavorful combination of beef, tomatoes and gooey cheeses for a satisfying dish that will have even cabbage-haters asking for seconds.
We loved the hearty texture and comforting flavor, but what we really like about this dish is its simplicity. With just a few basic ingredients and a single skillet, you can have a warm, filling and delicious dinner on the table in less than an hour. Can't argue with that!

This is not goulash but maybe a american version of it lol
Going to try this one.
I’m going to try this – but will cut the meat amount in half and add lots more cabbage.
Called a Heart Attack?

This isn’t an American version of goulash either. Looks more like a deconstructed stuffed cabbage.
I agree completely, I make this a lot. It’s a family favorite, once i started reading it a bit more I thought the very same thing and no longer needed the recipe 🙂
Gonna try it
Skillet Glop

Goulash
Is this goulash?
this site sucks too much bullshit to get to anything
Yummy?
It looks like a good recipe, but… I have a German mother and grew up eating German food… I have NEVER seen anything even remotely like this…
Heart attack on a plate.
When I titled it, I called it: Cheesy un-Stuffed Cabbage Casserole With Ground Beef
Jilliana Nicholette Candy Geagan

Not sure what it is called but looks mighty yummy !
Trish Riley. German?!?!?
Not my type of German but we are more northern. 😉
We make it with macaroni rather than rice, and I use a can of V-8 instead of the tomato sauce.
Heart attack by the bite
I can’t get the recipe, terrible site to get recipes off.
heart attack?
I think I’ve made this on accident before…

Minced meat, rice, cabbage, tomatoes, and spices?

Das Rezept erklärt!
2 lbs. ground beef
Salt and pepper or creole seasoning
1 onion, chopped
1 cup rice, uncooked
3 large handfuls of roughly chopped cabbage
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 cups of water
1 14 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup shredded cheese (Colby Jack)
Also, the tomatoes need to be prepared a special way as well. This casserole doesn’t cook for that long. Actually, it only takes twenty minutes so there are some time consuming steps that need to be taken into consideration.
Season and brown ground beef and onions. Drain off grease.
Once onions are clear, add rice, cabbage, tomato sauce, 2 cups of water and diced tomatoes.
Stir.
Reduce heat to medium low and cover to simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Once cooked, top with cheese and cover with lid to melt a few minutes.
Es könnte einige Hela Curry Gewürz Ketchup verwenden! (Spicy Ketchup)
I made this last night don’t know what it’s called but it sure is good!
Supper
Is it called “How to flush belly bloat”?
I have made a similar variation of this recipe from Wisconsin. Heavy German presence there and the girl who gave me the recipe was of German descent. I use sauerkraut instead of cabbage.
Raymond Waters try freezing some for a busy night.
Tim Poor I think she meant she doesn’t like have to click “next page”. She wants it all on one simple page. The ads are what pays for the page though and aren’t really a problem.
Agreed
It is pretty much lazy man cabbage rolls with an addition of cheese.
Cabbage casserole?
I enjoy reading all the recipes, but I can’t eat dairy products and probably 9.5 of the recipes use cheese (which I love). Such temptation.
Gispacho !
yumm-all i need is the cabbage
It only took total of 2 clicks to get the recipe. Maybe you are hitting on the wrong directions.
