Have You Tried This Yet?
We love it when Summer is here because our tomato plants ripen and we can start making all of our tangy, sweet tomato recipes.
However, as much as we would like to, we do not use all of our tomatoes and sometimes we have to store half of one. So… what do we do?
Well, normally we would just do it the traditional way and grab a plastic baggie and stuff it in their. Unfortunately though, after one day that tomato will go bad and we have to toss it out.
Instead, there is a much easier way to store halved tomatoes and this works every single time. In fact; this hack will ensure you that your tomatoes will last up to a week. There is no special containers, no special baggies. All you have to do is this one small, minor trick and it works like a charm every single time.

Just put between 2 slices of mayo’ed bread…won’t keep long, but is WAS stored. lol
here ya go people…The best way to store your remaining tomato halves is cut-side down on a paper towel. Stick paper towel in the bottom of a storage container, place open face of tomato on paper towel, stick closed container in fridge. If you use it within two days, it will taste good as new. If you can’t use it over the next couple days, stick it in the freezer until you need it.
I’ve tried several times for this to load and can’t seem to get to next pg. So can anyone tell me how to store the 1/2 tomato ?
Ok I see info in other comments –
Been doing this for a long time & it works great with other vegies as well.:)
