Here's everything for this luscious flan. This recipe requires 20 minutes of prep time and 1 hour of cooking time, and makes six servings.
Let's Get Started..
Ingredients To Gather:
- 1 cup white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1.5 cup evaporated milk or regular milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 8 oz cream cheese (optional)
Directions To Follow:
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and then cook the sugar over medium-low heat in a saucepan until golden-brown. Stir frequently to prevent the sugar from hardening. Next, pour the melted sugar into a baking dish and coat the bottom and sides of the dish with the sugar. Now, add the cream cheese, eggs, condensed milk, and evaporated milk to a large bowl and beat until combined well. Pour this mixture into the baking dish, and then place the baking dish in a larger pan that's filled with water. Bake for between 50 and 60 minutes and then remove from the oven, cool for 1 hour and refrigerate overnight. When ready to use, turn the dish over onto a serving plate and then serve.
Finished!
Doesn't this flan sound amazing? It's great by itself, of course, but we really like to drizzle a little caramel or other sweet sauce over it to really amp up the flavor.
Happy Baking & Enjoy!

I add drained, crushed pineapple to the caramelized sugar on the bottom if the flan for a different taste.
