Here, we offer the lemon break down, on how you are going to take your next bowl of chicken soup to the next level. Lemon style.
Let's Get Started…
When To Add To The Mix:
For the safest bet, just serve your lemon on the side. The best time to add lemon juice to your soup is just before consumption, and not a moment sooner. You don't want your secret ingredient turning biter! Ok, it's not that secret when it's sitting right next to the bowl, but you get the point.
Lemon Or Lime:
Usually go with lemon, unless your eating Asian or Mexican flavor profiled soups.
Heat And Greet:
Store your lemons in a cool place but then when you're ready to use them go ahead and warm them up. You can pop them in the microwave or plunge them in a bowl filled with hot water. This awakens the citrus and tastes so much better.
Something Seedy:
Always remove the seeds. No one wants to be fishing for unwanted ingredients in their bowl. They would rather just be enjoying the soup.
When To Stop:
Honestly, it's a personal preference. But generally speaking, about two 1/4 wedges of lemon is the perfect amount per bowl of soup.
