Impossibly Easy French Apple Pie From Scratch

Ever wondered how the French make their apple pie taste so delicious. Well, you need to try this recipe then! We couldn't believe how easy this pie was to make. In fact, it was so utterly painless, that we decided to make two. You might want to consider this amount of pies, so the whole family can enjoy seconds.
Let's Get Baking…

Things You Will Need:
The Sweet Filling:
  • 3 cups sliced peeled apples (3 large)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs

The Streusel:

  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons firm butter or margarine

How To Prepare:

  1. Start out by preheating your oven to around 325 degrees for this recipe. Next, you'll want to get a 9-inch glass pie plate and grease it up with either butter or nonstick spray. Mix your apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg together and place in your pre-greased pie dish.
  2. Combine your remaining filling ingredients together in a bowl and then pour over your apple mix into your pie dish. Next, you'll combine your streusel ingredients and layer over your filling.
  3. Place your pie pan into the oven and bake for about forty-five minutes. Don't forget to let it cool before you dig in. Not ready to eat it right away? Place it in the fridge until consumption.

Finished!

Note: We suggest whipping up some fresh homemade whipped cream to top your treat with. Vanilla bean ice cream also pairs really well with this recipe.

Happy Baking & Enjoy!
