The recall only effects one retail item, Just BARE whole chicken in four-pound poly-bags. The contaminated products have June 26 use-by dates. The chicken can also be identified by the USDA mark of inspection code P-322 and Universal Product Code 024105594057.
The Class I recall was issued Saturday by the U.S Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. The product contamination is believed to be linked to an isolated product tampering incident at the company’s Cold Spring processing plant the week of June 6.
