
This mini meatball casserole recipe makes enough for about twelve servings but can always be cut in half if needed. It takes about fifteen minutes to prepare and about twenty to twenty-five minutes to bake.

The Ingredients To Gather:
- 3/4 pounds Italian Sausage
- 3/4 pounds Ground Beef
- 1/2 cup Regular Oats
- 1 cup Grated Parmesan
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Parsley
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 1 Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 can Tomato Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 2 cups Hot Water
- 12 leaves Basil
- 12 ounces Ziti Pasta,
- 16 ounces Mozzarella
The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
Mix sausage, beef, oats, 1/2 of Parmesan, egg, half parsley, salt, pepper until well combined. Form into small meatballs (about 1/2 inch), brown in batches in skillet over medium heat. Remove meatballs from pan, drain.
Add onions, garlic, cook 3 – 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add tomatoes with juice, tomato paste, salt, pepper, sugar, water. Stir bring to simmer, add meatballs, continue simmering, 20 minutes. Remove skillet from heat, cool. Stir in basil.
The Additional Directions To Follow:
To make the casserole, put about half of your pasta, mozzarella cheese, a fourth of your Parmesan cheese and about half of your sauce to your pan. Add an additional layer making sure to end with a layer of your sauce. You can place foil over the dish and keep it in the fridge for as long as two days or bake it immediately at 350 degrees for about twenty minutes or until done.
