With a million things on your plate, and ready made dinner is not one of them, we offer this crock pot recipe to the rescue during the holidays. Enjoy a deliciously juicy chicken that took hours to make, without breaking a sweat, or the bank for that matter!
What You Will Need:
- 6 Chicken breasts
- 1/2 Cup dry sherry
- 10 3/4 Ounces cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 Pint sour cream
- Salt and pepper
- Almonds, sliced
How To Prepare:
- Throw everything in the crock pot (figuratively, not literally), set it, and forget it (for 6-8 hours).
Note: Make sure to pour the wet ingredients over the chicken, then serve with the sliced almonds over the chicken. Serve with mashed potatoes and use the drippings in the crock pot as a gravy. Yum! You can cheat for this meal and buy store bought mashed potatoes (so you can skip that step, too) we won't tell any one.

Definite “must make”.
That picture don’t look like something that would come from that recipe
❤️

10 3/4 Ounces cream of mushroom soup
1/2 Pint sour cream
Salt and pepper
Almonds, sliced
This is the list of ingredients. Hmmmm, your pic shows something that looks llike tomatoes…..red peppers…? Recipe Station, this is the 3rd post I’ve seen from you since yesterday, where the picture doesn’t match the recipe. One from yesterday had what looked like chopped up, boneless chicken for a recipe that used whole chicken pieces! Another recipe didn’t even have the chicken listed! Done with you.
so where does the red in the picture come from…sure isn’t in the recipe?
Nice post thanks a lot
Nice
My mother made this divine pot roast with dry sherry that is still my favorite. It works really well in a slow cooker. I add the roast, a lot of garlic and a couple of cups of sherry. Melts in your mouth when it’s done.
The sherry is the only liquid I add to it, it makes a lot on its own. And potatoes and onions get added from the start. Not fond of carrots in this one.
