
Leave the microwaveable meatballs in the supermarket! Roll balls of meat with your own bare hands by following the instructions listed in detail below!
Ingredients To Gather:
- 1 (12 fluid ounces) can or bottle chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 9 ounces grape jelly
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 large onion, grated
- Salt
Instructions To Follow:
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
- Combine these 3 ingredients together: Lemon Juice, Grape Jelly and Chili Sauce. Stir and beat them well.
- Open the slow cooker and place the wet mixture into it. Put it in the lightest heat and bring to a gentle boil to keep the sauce hot.
Hand-Rolled Meatballs:
- Merge these 3 ingredients together: a Beaten Egg, Lean Ground Beef, and Salt (to season).
- After they have been thoroughly blended together, mold them into tiny balls (a size fitted for a decent meatball would be about one inch).
- Drop them into the slow cooker to combine with the sweet and sour sauce. Keep them in there for one and a half hours.
A suggestion to avoid a greasy mess in the kitchen while making this dish: make sure to drain your meatballs well. In addition, how can we not discuss about this amazing sauce? Incredibly delicious, but if you want your sauce to taste a bit more on the sweeter side, you can substitute lemon juice for pineapple juice.
