If you're trying to be “healthy,” you most definitely can bake this dish. In fact, baking it will help you better achieve the perfect crisp. For those of you who are in need of something more soulful, get those deep-fryers ready and something to fish out your ravioli.
Let's Get Started…
Ingredients To Gather:
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 24 refrigerated cheese ravioli
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 cups jarred marinara sauce
Directions To Follow:
- Prepare a large pot or deep fryer for preparation. We suggest 1-inch of vegetable oil for the perfect submersion. Warm it over medium heat to 325°F.
- Whisk together egg and milk together, placing breadcrumbs in a separate bowl of their own.
- Dip ravioli into egg mixture,
- Coat ravioli with bread crumbs.
- Fry ravioli about 3 minutes, until golden brown.
- Place fried ravioli onto a cookie sheet lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Sprinkle on Parmesan and garlic salt to your liking.
- Warm up sauce and serve!
Finished!
The best part is that you really won't be spending too much money in the process and can feed a whole family for less than 5 bucks! When I got really good at this recipe, I started to experiment a bit. I highly suggest sweet potato raviolis for those who have a bit of a sweet tooth. Prepare them the same way, and you will be surprised just how good they turn out!
