This incredible chocolate pie is enough for about ten servings so there should be plenty for everyone to enjoy. This recipe uses pie crust but you can also use Oreo or graham cracker crust if you prefer and it would taste just as good. This recipe also uses bittersweet chocolate but feel free to use your favorite kind.

Let's Get Started!

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 Pie Crust
  • 1-1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups Whole Milk
  • 4  Egg Yolks
  • 6-1/2 ounces,  Bittersweet Chocolate
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • Whipped Cream, For Serving

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch,  salt in  saucepan. Stir or whisk together.
  2. Pour in milk, egg yolks, whisk.
  3. Stir over medium heat until the mixture just  comes to  boil,  becomes thick,  6-8 minutes The second it starts to bubble and thicken, remove from  heat.
  4. Add  chocolate, vanilla,  butter,  stir until combined.
  5. Pour pudding into pie crust,  place in fridge to chill for 4 hours uncovered.
