Su Casa Mexican restaurant in South Haven, MI has been accused by a former employee of reusing chips and salsa. The accusations came from a former employee's mother, who wrote an angry Facebook post about her daughter and her boss: “She was told not to throw away the salsa, chips that come back that ‘looked' like they haven't been touched. She did not feel comfortable with this so [she] asked the owner if it was true. He said it was true, she put her notice in and worked her shift.” The health department cited the spot for re-serving food, but it was allowed to remain open.

We all kind of knew it in the back of our minds that this occurs.
So…. If I have leftover chips and salsa… From now on I’ll dump them together. Problem solved.
I was watching an episode of Hell’s Kitchen one evening where Chef Ramsey was trying to clean up a Mexican restaurant and he caught them re-serving left over chips.
Items that could possibly reused always mix or some how make them reusable – like a wet napkin.
I’ve never had leftover chips or salsa
Sorry to say but this is true having worked in many it’s either you do it or find another job. So I would buss my own tables n pour the salsa on the chips so both would have to be tossed
