Indulge In A Scrumptious Banana Split Cheesecake

Indulge In A Scrumptious Banana Split Cheesecake

Almost everyone loves cheesecake, but a banana split version takes the cake (no pun intended)! Now it is time to visualize the cream-iness of this cheesecake with its swirling strawberry pie filling and chocolate ganache topping – giving it the banana split taste.

Sumptous, right?

Let your imagination get the better of you! Put on your apron, wash your hands and prepare for a burst of pleasure!

Ready to begin? Don’t back out now. It is time to take the first step of gathering your ingredients.

Ingredients to Assemble

  • 2 cups waffle cone crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 packages cream cheese (8 oz. each), room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup smashed bananas
  • 1 can strawberry pie filling (21 oz. can)
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Cool Whip
  • Cherries

Β Step-By-Step Directions

  1. Combine the waffle cone crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 10 inch spring form pan that has been lined with parchment or wax paper. Set aside.

  2. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs, vanilla, and flour and beat again.

  3. Stir in the banana puree by hand. Pour into the spring form pan. Drop spoonfuls of pie filling on top of the cheesecake and swirl gently.

  4. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

  5. In a small saucepan, bring the whipping cream to a low boil. Remove from the heat immediately and add the chocolate chips. Let it sit for 1 – 2 minutes. Stir until melted and creamy. Pour on top of the chilled cheesecake and smooth out. Refrigerate until set. Garnish with Cool Whip and cherries if desired. Keep refrigerated.

It is important to note that you should fill a large baking sheet with hot water and put it under the cheesecake as it bakes. If you are not a fan of waffle cone crust, you can try graham cracker crumbs.
