Just When You Thought An All-American Classic Couldn’t Get Any Better… We Added This!

Here's everything you need for this succulent meatloaf. To ensure it cooks evenly and stays moist, use aluminum foil, which also makes clean-up easier.

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs

Directions To Follow:

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then lightly greasing a 5″ x 9″ loaf pan.
  2. Take the brown sugar and press it down into the bottom of the pan, and then spread the ketchup over the sugar.
  3. Next, take the rest of the ingredients and mix them thoroughly in a bowl, and then form them into a loaf shape.
  4. Place in the pan on top of the ketchup, and then bake for 1 hour or until the juices are clear.
