Ingredients To Gather:
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3/4 cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs
Directions To Follow:
- Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then lightly greasing a 5″ x 9″ loaf pan.
- Take the brown sugar and press it down into the bottom of the pan, and then spread the ketchup over the sugar.
- Next, take the rest of the ingredients and mix them thoroughly in a bowl, and then form them into a loaf shape.
- Place in the pan on top of the ketchup, and then bake for 1 hour or until the juices are clear.
