If you absolutely love raviolis (who doesn’t. duh!) then you must try this fried version, because (as some people say) everything tastes better fried. It’s doubtful that you’ll find this at the next fair you go to, but you might find them on the menu at some of the Italian restaurants you like to dine at (cough, cough, Olive Garden). These golden brown pillows are crunchy, toasty, and crispy, filled with pure pleasure.
For the ravioli: To make things easier on you, go ahead and use some frozen raviolis. Pick whatever fillings you like. I prefer beef or pork, but cheese options are just as good. I’m sure hand made raviolis are pretty amazing, but let’s be practical. If you’re deep frying large amounts of ravioli, chances are they are for a party, and you have a million other things you need to prepare for before the guests arrive.
For the sauce: You can use a jar of your favorite marinara for dipping, which is also practical. Or you can plan ahead and make your own sauce.

did you add any shortening or butter to the dough so that it becomes a bit fluffy and richer in flavour? cooking oil helps too. if you didn’t, i would suggest that you try .. 🙂
