I don’t know if you have a Famous Dave’s where you live but here in Colorado they offer burnt ends as an appetizer or a meal on their menu. I tried the appetizer a few months ago. They were so good!

Paul Merrill,
200° in oven. About 8 hours. Yummy.
No I live in Mississippi Deb Meile but grew up beside my daddy and his smokers I guess I picked up a few things from him. I don’t know anyone around here that would cook brisket or any other cut of meat in a crockpot. Haha!
THE BEST!

Ok
they’re also good cooked low n slow in the oven…season with salt, pepper, garlic powder the 2-3 dry bay leaves and sliced onion on top, cover with foil and cook about 6 hrs on 325 degrees. Check on it after 4 hrs…may need to add a bit of water to the bottom of pan if it doesn’t have enough fat on it so it isn’t too dry…my moma always cooked it like this, was so tender and good..bay leaves are great flavoring for beef..just don’t go overboard with them, alittle goes a long way.
Aisheh Quiroz. I’ve tried this, it’s awesome! Plus you can make brisket sandwiches the next day. I usually do rice and a veg and then next day make a macaroni salad.
Yum!!! Thank you!!
Yummy!!!

if you smoke it with mesquite wood you will really get a good brisket. that’s how they do it in TX

Yummo Thats my way of cooking!
If it’s Black, it’s burned!
Not going thru 3 pages to see recipe
Must be some YANKEE doing this. Brisket goes into the pit, slow and low over Mesquite wood.
Well I will agree BUT when you have 24″ of snow and your hankering for a good brisket. Slow in crock or stove better than freezing you behind off would you agree
You make it and we will come
this is how I cook mine but I do 275 for about 8 hours…usually it’s a very large brisket…just heavenly
What if I put mesquite wood in the bottom of the pan, would I get that same effect like putting it in a smoker?
looks good
Ang Michelle I’m thinking either Sunday or Monday dinner?
Go for it
Searay Man.
This is NOT BBQ. BBQ require Low and Slow heat on a pit with real wood smoke. Not a Crockpot or Slow Cooker and difinitely no sauce!!!!!! And no liquid smoke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nasty!!!!!! I will say that it is possible, without smoke to cook it in the oven with the right rub and get a good piece of meat. But it is not BBQ. But you need to cook it at 325 for the first hour and then at 250 for at least another 6 hours minimum. The internal temp of the meat needs to reach 200 degrees and then rest for at least a good hour.
maga meta – omg
Yeah, I saw on Racheal Ray this morning. New indoor smoker pressure cooker. Looks cool. Gonna order one that!
this look great
Yummy
Ive cooked with mesquite when I was in south Tejas but oak is much better. IMHO
Brad Meisky…I have a feeling you are going to try this. If so, let me know how it gets.
My brisket does NOT go in a slow cooker, it goes in the oven!
Looks awesome.

It looks wonderful. Did you place it under the broiler at all? It looks grilled or broiled.
