Make Your Carton Of Fresh Eggs Last Longer – No Refrigeration Required!!!

Farm fresh eggs taste so much better than store bought, but they can be hard to come by, especially in winter. “Water glassing” is the old fashioned way to get fresh eggs to last up to eight months. If you have access to very fresh eggs, you may want to try water glassing them.

Let's Get Started:

Ingredients To Gather:

  • Clean eggs less than 24 hours old
  • Glass jar
  • Water

Step By Step Directions:

1. Collect clean eggs less than 24 hours old. Do not wash.

2. Put eggs in glass jar.

3. Mix one part water glass with 9 parts boiled water that's been cooled.

4. Pour mixture over eggs. It must cover them by 2 inches.

5. Keep adding clean eggs daily. Add more water to the glass as needed in order to keep the liquid 2 inches above the eggs at all times.

6. When the jar is full, store in a cool, dark place. Turn the glass jar once or twice every week.

7. When taking the eggs out of the jar, handle with care because they're very slippery. If you will boil them, pin prick the eggs first so they won't explode.

Finished!

The eggs last for eight month when properly preserved and stored, so you can have farm fresh eggs during the whole winter. Have you tried this hack yet?

We Were Amazed When We Learned This Method To Keep Eggs Fresh For Up To Eight Months Without Refrigeration!

We love eggs. We use eggs almost every day. We cook them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Sometimes we pack hard boiled eggs for a protein snack on the go. We always store our eggs in the refrigerator, so we were surprised when we learn this genius hack. We had no idea fresh eggs could last this long! This is great if you don’t have enough space in the fridge, or if you need to be somewhere without access to refrigeration. The catch is that it works only on farm fresh eggs that are less than 24 hours old. So, if you have a

This is great if you don’t have enough space in the fridge, or if you need to be somewhere without access to refrigeration. The catch is that it works only on farm fresh eggs that are less than 24 hours old. So, if you have a farm or access to a farmer that sells you very fresh eggs, go ahead and try this method.

Do NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!! If you have store bought eggs, keep them in the fridge. We.process eggs in the U.S. differently than Europe. They are washed before packaging, which removes protective qualities, therefore they need refrigeration.
