The filling ingredients are similar to those for Key Lime Pie….condensed milk, egg yolks and lemon/lime juice. Some people need to get a life. Read the whole recipe.

Way too many words for a simple recipe, plus pop ups blocked it,as well. Be short and sweet and to the point. Exasperating to spend so much time!

    1) you need 7 ingredients
    2) if on cell phone pinch the screen to make the smaller so you can read it.
3)first page introduces it, next page tells you what’s in filling, next page what’s in crust and instructions. Together with one of the options for topping that makes 7 ingredients.

    (For The Lemon Bars)

    4 large egg yolks
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
    3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
The Other Three Ingredients To Gather:

    (For The Crust)

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
    1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
    1 cup all-purpose flour
The Full Step By Step Directions To Follow:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8-inch square baking pan.
Make crust: Using an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy. Add flour, and mix on low just until combined.
Press dough into the bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of prepared pan; prick all over with a fork.
Bake until lightly golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
Make filling: In a large bowl, whisk together yolks, condensed milk, and lemon juice until smooth.
Pour over hot crust in pan; return to oven, and bake until filling is set, 25 to 30 minutes.
    Refrigerate until filling is firm.
    ~*~ Baking Tip ~*~

Cut them into squares when they are firmed up. You can cut large squares or smaller ones.

    Finished!

This recipe makes 16 servings, so there should be enough to go around, but we still recommend stashing one or two extras for yourself! We like this recipe because it makes a great dessert, but if you feel like being fancy you could also have it as a snack with a cup of hot tea.

    Happy Baking & Enjoy!

There’s more than 3 ingredients. You need more ingredients for the crust and topping. Also, on this website you have to go through several pages to get the recipe and then it’s not on one page and you have to go even more pages to get the crust. Save yourself some time and find this recipe all on one page at: http://www.marthastewart.com/337330/creamy-lemon-squares
