
We Can't Believe They've Been Misleading Us All These Years…
For many of us, when we're looking for ways to be healthier we often start by cleaning our diet, and in particular we turn to fruits and vegetables to help us reduce the amount of sugar we consume and increase our intake of vitamins and nutrients. In fact, many people use fruit juice as a way to help wean themselves off of sugary beverages such as soft drinks.
Well, now one of the juice industry's leading manufacturers is being sued for allegedly misleading consumers into thinking their juices are a healthy alternative when this may not be true.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest just filed a lawsuit against food industry giant PepsiCo, which makes Naked Juice, saying that the product labels don't give consumers the whole story. In fact, CSPI claims the company uses jargon and buzzwords to hype up the product and present it as healthy, when in fact it's made from low-quality ingredients and isn't any better than soda.
