You can use any type of refrigerated biscuits, but I suggest going with the Pillsbury Grands Jr. Golden Layers. It has a good texture that complements this casserole recipe. Below are the list of ingredients that you will need in order to bake this magnificent casserole!
Ingredients To Gather:
- 28 oz chili with beans
- 8 hot dogs, cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 24 oz refrigerated biscuits
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
Directions To Follow:
- Set the temperature of the oven to 375 degrees.
- Grease the 13×9 inch baking dish and put chili with beans and hot dogs. Cover the top with cheese.
- Get the refrigerated biscuits out and cut each biscuit into four. In a bowl, mix the biscuits with the rest of the ingredients. Place the mixture all throughout the baking dish.
- Put the casserole in the oven for 20 to 22 minutes.
- Take it out and cool it for 5 minutes.
Finished!
You are free to cut the hot dogs in a size that you prefer. Cutting them into bite-size pieces would be the best recommendation; however, I prefer my hot dogs to be a bit more tinier! Some actually prefer it to be a bit more bulky. That means you would have to place it in the oven for a bit more so that the meat gets baked all through.
